About Edward Gustaf Tate-Lee
Edward Gustaf Tate Upton was born in Kansas City, Missouri to parents Lydia Minnie Gohde and Theodore Dane Upton Edward had a younger brother, Martin Arthur.
After his brother, Martin was born in 1920, Lydia divorce Ted Upton and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. Lydia married Clarence Orin Lee in 1923 in Seward, Nebraska, and changed Edward's surname and her surname to Tate-Lee. Martin's surname became Lee.
Lydia divorced Clarence by 1925, then married Fred Schweitzer in 1925. Edward grew up in Lincoln along with Martin and seven step-siblings from Fred's first marriage.

On October 18, 1985, Laura died in Lincoln. Edward then married Betty Lou Michon about 1987 in Missouri. They continued to live in Lincoln until Edward died on November 7, 1991 in Omaha. Edward and Laura's ashes are interred in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Lincoln. Betty Michon died in Lincoln on January 1, 2012, and is buried in Yankee Hill Cemetery in Lincoln.
