Edward Palmer was born ca 1590 in England. It is known that Edward Palmer received a patent of land of 400 acres in Petomack ( sic Potomac ) freshes, lying up a creek, between the land of Capt. Brent called Puscataway ( sic Piscataway ) Neck and the land of Henry Vincent. for the transportation of eight persons into VA including a Roger Shackelford in 1658. Edward's wife is unknown. His known children are: Mary, Edward and Richard. (Westmoreland County, that became Stafford County in 1664, then Prince William County in 1730/31, then Fairfax County, VA in 1742.)

June 4, 1658- Edward Palmer, 400 acres... Granted by Samuel Mathews Esq. General note in the margin of the record, states that the patent was renewed in his name on October 17, 1662. From: Google Potomac River & Piscataway Creek
