Elijah Lacey

Lacey, Elijah (1795-1862) — of Niles, Berrien County, Mich. Born in Loudoun County, Va., March 28, 1795. Delegate to Michigan state constitutional convention 14th District, 1835; member of Michigan state house of representatives from Berrien County, 1838; member of Michigan state senate, 1840-41, 1861-62 (7th District 1840-41, 18th District 1861-62); died in office 1862; village president of Niles, Michigan, 1856-58; mayor of Niles, Mich., 1859. Died in 1862 (age about 67 years). Burial location unknown.
