Elizabeth Bernoulli

Elizabeth Bernoulli (* 9. December 1873 in Basel, Switzerland; † 22. February 1935 ebenda) was a Swiss Frauenrechtlerin from the family Bernoulli.

Life

Bernoulli was the daughter of Theodor Bernoulli and the sister of the later architect Hans Bernoulli.

With 29 years Bernoulli began to engage itself in the Swiss federation of abstinenter Mrs. (BAF). 1907 one selected it to the executive committee of the association branch in Basel; this office held it until 1912. Starting from this year it functioned as a member of the central executive committee.

During these years it - partly honorary - cooperated in that Swiss central office for the fight of the alcoholism. 1923 one entrusted Bernoulli with the line of the secretariat (BAF), and two years later appointed one it the central executive committee of the Swiss Federation of abstinenter women. This office held it four years.

Beside this work Bernoulli drew up in the years 1923 to 1933 that Signpost/guide to the woman's work against the alcohol.

At the age of 62 years Elizabeth Bernoulli died to 22. February 1935 in Basel.
