Elisha Baldwin, son of Ziba Baldwin and Amy Brown, was b. in Stonington, Conn., on Aug. 11,1786; m. in 1808, with MARTHA "PATTY" SPALDING, dau. of Dr. Asa Spalding, of Stonington. They settled in German, near Pitcher, NY. Was thrifty and prosperous.
Note: Patty was sister of Amanda, who married Elisha's brother Hezekiah.. sisters married brothers.
Children were: Lucy Ann (1809), Eunice T. (1810), Melissa (1811), John S. (1813),Mary Ann (1818), Betsey (1821), George D. (1824), Elisha E. (1826), Amy R. (1828), Asa (1830), Daniel S. (1833), and Martha (1835).
