Eliza Kortright Hay

Eliza Kortright Monroe (daughter of James Monroe and Elizabeth Kortright) was born July 27, 1787 in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, and died 1835 in Paris, France. She married George Hay on 1808, son of Anthony Hay and Elizabeth Davenport.

She was schooled in St. Germaine, France. For a time, while her husband

was the U. S. District Attorney for Virginia, she and their daughter,
