Elizabeth Prentice 5 (1719 - 1796)

Someone changed her birth date and father to Rev John3 Prentice of Lancaster who died 6 Jan 1747/8. This not correct. I found his will and the letter for the division of his estate. In both documents his daughter Elizabeth is called Elizabeth Robbins. As seen in "The history and genealogy of the Prentice..." p168 his daughter Elizabeth married 1st Daniel Robbins and 2nd Capt John Curtis. So this is not the correct Elizabeth Prentice who was wife of Joseph Aldrich.

Another person changed her father to John3 Prentice Dr of Newton. That's also not correct see p 251-2 of "The history and genealogy of the Prentice..." because it shows that Elizabeth married in 1727 to John Knapp.

Actually there was only line of the Prentice family that was living in Uxbridge this early. See p 254 of "The history and genealogy of the Prentice..." John4 Prentice b 6 Mar 1691 Newton d 4 Jan 1771 Canterbury, CT has a daughter Elizabeth Prentice born 29 Jun 1719 in Preston, CT and her father and his siblings were in Uxbridge (Formerly Western Mendon) . She is almost certainly the Elizabeth Prentice who married on 2 Jan 1739 in Uxbridge. She would have been 19 at the time and only one year younger than Joseph Aldrich. Two of her brother were blacksmiths in Uxbridge and she also had uncles in Uxbridge. See:

He was the son of John Aldrich (1688-1750) and Penelope Pray (1691-1752). Elizabeth and Joseph had the following children: Ruth Aldrich, b. 29 Jun 1741, Uxbridge, and d. 15 Jul 1801, Mendon, Worcester Co., MA. She m. Darius Daniels (1739-1832). They had 1 or more children, including: Adolphus Daniels, b. 1 Oct 1778 and d. 1825. He m Alse Fowler (1785-1832). Olivel Lowell on 7 Jan 1773, Uxbridge.
