Richard Astley was born about 1625, son of Walter Astley [1] and his wife, Grace Trentham.[2][3]

Sometime before 1657 he married Elizabeth Philipps, daughter of John Philipps of Morleston in Wales.[2] [3] She was mother of his son, Richard born about 1656.[3]

About 1680 he married Henrietta Borlase, daughter of William Borlase and his wife, Joan Bankes.[2] [3] She was mother of his son, John, born in 1687. [2][3][4]

He passed away on the 24th of February 1688. [2][3]
