Elizabeth Baldwin

Wife of SAMUEL4, Samuel3, John2, John1 (of Milford).

Samuel Baldwin, son of Samuel Baldwin and Mary ----, was born about 1706. Settled in Morris, New Jersey. His will of 1764 names his son and mother-in-law. His widow ELIZABETH, b. about 1717, d. 1781.

Children were: Elizabeth (1730-1/15/1739; aged 8 yrs. 6 mos), Samuel; a dau ( m. Boyce Prudden)., Stephen (b c 1707), Jeremiah, Caleb, Nehemiah, Esther (m. Samuel Parkhurst), and Mary (m. Noah Crane).

NOTE: My only conclusion regarding the Elizabeth who married Pruden, is that the re-naming convention of families (to name a subsequent child after a deceased child). was 'assumed'....I have looked at the Genealogy, corrections, the Supplement, corrections....and can find no clear evidence that her name was Elizabeth..
