ELIZABETH HARDMAN MORGAN BIRCH was born on March 22, 1810 in Salwick, Lancashire, England to Elizabeth (Hodgkinson) Hardman and Richard Hardman. She was christened on March 27, 1810 in Kirkham, Lancashire, England.

Elizabeth married first to Joseph Morgan on June 18, 1928 in Preston, England.

To this blessed marriage they had the following children:

Mary Jane Morgan 1827 -1842

• John Morgan 1829 -1909
• William Morgan 1833 - 1842
• Joseph Morgan 1836-1840
• Edward Morgan 1838 -1928

Joseph Morgan passed away May 13, 1838 in Manchester, Landcaster, England.

Joseph got sick at work and was taken home within 24 hours he passed away. He never got to see his son Edward as he was born 5 months after his passing on October 1938.

Shortly after her husband's death Elizabeth joined the Latter Day Saints Church was baptized on December 1838. ELizabeth then decided to emigrate with the Saints to the Rocky Mountains. Elizabeth (who was 31 years old, with her three small children, John Hardman(her brother)who was 28 years old, Mary (his wife), sailed to America on the Sheiffield Ship, Master, R. King Porter on March 3, 1841.

The Sheiffield Ship sailed from Liverpool, England, and arrived at New Orleans.

Now I have read two different stories on how she meant her next husband Francis Birch. One story tells how they meant on the ship and another informs me that they meant in Illinois.

Then she married Francis Birch in 1842 in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinios.

To this blessed marriage two boys were born:

• Moroni Birch (- 1842)
• Joseph Hyrum Birch (1844-1845)

Francis Birch had four wives and many children.

She passed away Marrch 10, 1882 in Mill Creek, Salt Lake, Utah.
