Rev. Walter Wood's The East Neuk of Fife: Its History and Antiquities, Geology, Botany, and Natural History in General and Stirnet's "Oliphant4" page (membership required to view without interruption) (which was constructed with data from Burke’s Genealogical and Heraldic History of the Landed Gentry and Sir James Balfour Paul's The Scots Peerage) do not mention this Elizabeth/Edith. Furthermore, it seems unlikely that the daughter of a Scottish knight would be born and die in Daventry, which is in southern England.

Therefore, there is no evidence to support this Elizabeth/Edith, wife of William Bliss (Blysse), Sr as a daughter of Sir Alexander Oliphant of Kellie by Katherine Leslie of Rothes. Date of birth might be either 1535 or 1540.

Elizabeth married William BLISS, Sr, son of Richard BLYSSE, III and Joyce, on 20 Sep 1561 in Daventry, Northamptonshire, England. (William BLISS, Sr was born about 1530-1535 in Daventry, Northamptonshire, England, died on 20 Jul 1574 in Daventry, Northamptonshire, England and was buried on 20 Jul 1574.)
