- ' Hon. Elizabeth Brooke was born on 1 January 1562/63.2 She married Robert Cecil, 1st Earl of Salisbury, son of William Cecil, 1st Baron of Burghley and Mildred Cooke, on 31 August 1589.2 She died on 24 January 1596/97 at age 34.1
- ' She was the daughter of Sir William Brooke, 10th Lord Cobham (of Kent) and Frances Newton.1 Her married name became Cecil.

- 'Robert Cecil, 1st Earl of Salisbury, KG, PC (1 June 1563? – 24 May 1612)', son of William Cecil, 1st Baron Burghley and Mildred Cooke. His half-brother was Thomas Cecil, 1st Earl of Exeter.
- ' Cecil married Elizabeth, the daughter of William Brooke, 10th Baron Cobham in 1589. Their son, William Cecil was born in Westminster on 28 March 1591 and baptized in St Clement Danes on 11 April. Elizabeth died when their son was six years old.[5] He succeeded his father as Earl of Salisbury.
