Elizabeth Stannard was born in 1673 in Haddam, Connecticut and died there on August 29, 1708 at the age of 35. She was the daughter of Joseph Stannard and Elizabeth Spencer.

She married Samuel Church, son of John Church of Hartford, in 1697 at Hartford, Connecticut. Her widower married Elizabeth Burr, widow of Thomas Clark, 2nd; he died in 1718.
