Richard and Elizabeth are thought to have had two children:

1) "Richard Jr" who appears in the records of Charles City County, married to someone named "Alice."

2) Ann Mary Cocke, who is thought to be the wife of Robert Bolling II.

Because of the missing Charles City County records, Elizabeth's last name is not 'set in stone' and the children of this couple require more documentation to cement the link. Elizabeth's husband's ancestry, however, is not in question.

Some people have mistakenly placed Ann Bowler as another wife of THIS Richard Cocke The Younger. Ann did marry a man named Richard Cocke. But he was the son of Richard "The Elder" (Richard "The Younger's half brother.) In other words, Ann Bowler married Richard the Younger's 1/2 nephew. Confusing the matter is that Ann's tombstone states that her husband was "Richard Cocke the Younger." This is in reference to her husband's father being named Richard also. But it is easy to see how it could be confused with Elizabeth's husband.
