ELLIS - July 27, 1884, in Harrison County, Texas, of cancer, Mrs. Elizabeth C. Ellis. Her maiden name was Alexander. She was born in Manty County, Tenn., Sept. 18, 1809; was married to Christopher Ellis in February, 1832; professed religion at the age of seventeen and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, in which she lived till called to her reward. Sister Ellis was a model in the relations of wife, mother, neighbor, and Christian. She suffered long and intensely without a complaint and at the last died triumphant peace. To her aged husband, children and friends, I offer the consolations of the gospel. Your separation will be but short. Your loss is her eternal gain. W.M. ALLEN.
