14 January 1619: Extract Registered Disposition and Assignation by Dame Elizabeth Hepburne [Hepburn], elder, relict of Sir John Arnot [Arnott] of Berswick [Barswick], kt, now spouse of Sir James Foulis of Colintoun [Colinton], kt, with his consent, in favour of Alexander Foulis, eldest son and heir of the said Sir James, of annual rent in GD59/41 in implement of marriage contract between said Dame Elizabeth, elder, and said Sir James Foulis, her spouse, on the first part, said Alexander Foulis on the second part, and Dame Elizabeth Hepburne, younger, relict of Sir John Stewart of Ardmoleische, kt, sheriff of Bute, eldest daughter of the said Dame Elizabeth, elder, on the third part. Elizabeth Hepburn is the daughter of Robert Hepburn of Fuird. She married firstly, Sir John Stuart of Ardmaleish, son of John Stewart of Ardmaleish and Mary Campbell. She and Sir Alexander Foulis of Colinton, 1st Bt. obtained a marriage license on 30 March 1619 Her married name became Stewart. Her married name became Stuart. From 30 March 1619, her married name became Foulis.
