Elizabeth Miller

MILLER FAMILY. Jane Miller, wife of Thomas Hord, was the daughter of Simon Miller, whose will was proved in Richmond County, May 4, 1724 (leaving children Simon, Ellinor and Jane) and who was son of Captain Simon Miller, whose will was proved in old Rappahannock County, May 2, 1684. Captain Simon Miller was a noted shipbuilder in old Rappahannock County and there is a mention of him in Bruce's "Economic History of

Par., will; 1 Dec 1719, 4 May 1720 son Simon all land from the river to the Schoolhouse Swamp with the two plant. and all improvements; if he has no heirs, then land is to go to dau. Jane; dau. Eleanor all land on the backside of the Schoolhouse Swamp inclusive of the sd. swamp; son Simon shall be at age to choose his guardian when 16; ex: dau. Eleanor and William SMITH that boards at my house; wits: Jonathan GIBSON, William [SISE], Elizabeth GIBSON.
