In Boswells Edinburgh journals, James Boswell mentions Elizabeths mother (Elizabeth / Betty Cunningham ) several times in his Journals - she was then married to Captain Cunningham - after Captain Alexander Cunninghams death Elizabeth quicly remarried to John Beaumont - who was a Northern English Mine Owner - whom apparently had accumulated sizable debts in mining speculation - Boswell openly disapproved of Elizabeth's quick second marriage to john Beaumony in 1770 - which he believed was beneath her status - he urged his wife Veronica to disown her younger sister,,
