About Elizabeth Ragsdale
The father of Elizabeth Oglethorpe is frequently shown as being Owen, although some genealogists think it was more likely George. She was the sister of Owen Oglethorpe, the Bishop of Carlisle, who crowned Elizabeth the 1st queen of England. She was likely the 1st cousin of William Oglethorpe (son of William Oglethorpe and Anne Sotheby), who married Susan Sutton, a direct descendant of King Edward the 1st.
