Henry Houghton Jr. was married on 24 November 1725, Lancaster, Massachusetts (also recorded at Stow, Mass.), to Elizabeth RAND (b. ca. 1702, Stow, Massachusetts; d. 10 November 1779, Harvard, Massachusetts), daughter of Henry Rand Jr. One printed source (New England Historical & Genealogical Register) wrongly says that he married Elizabeth Randall (daughter of Stephen Randall), and this erroneous information has been repeated many times. However, the original written marriage records of Lancaster and Stow clearly show that he married Elizabeth RAND of Stow (not Elizabeth RANDALL).
