John Harris and his first wife had the following children:

1. Elizabeth Harris, b. say 1649 (assuming age about 20 at marriage), d. of smallpox in 1677-78; m. Charlestown 13 2nd mo. [April] 1669, as his first wife, Zachariah Sawtell, b. Watertown 26 5th mo. [July] 1643, who d. by 17 March 1691/2, son of Richard Sawtell. On 9 Feb 1727/8, Zachariah Sawtell [Jr.] of Groton, Mass., yeoman, quitclaimed to Wigglesworth Sweetser of Boston, tailor, and Thomas Harris Jr. of Charlestown, tailor, all right he had in lands of Elizabeth Harris (the daughter of John Harris Senr. late of Charlestown) which he did revert to her as heir to the wsaid John Harris. Zachariah also undertook to defend against any claims by his sisters Elizabeth, Anna, and Mary Sawtell.
