Thomas Walton was buried at Oxhill March 20, 1592 or 1593. The Tredington Parish burial records identify Barbella as Thomas' wife; Barbella was buried in 1561 at Tredington. He probably married Elizabeth Banbury of Armscote, a malet in Tredington Parish, in 1565. Thomas may have been of Blackwell, another hamlet in Tredington Parish, at the time.

The parish also has baptisms for Ann of Thomas in 1560, Alice or Ales of Thomas in 1562, Marg or Margeri of Thomas in 1563, Mary of Thomas in 1566, Emma or Emme of Thomas in 1568, William of Thomas "do Armscote" in 1570, Maria Walton of Thomas Walton "de Armscote"in 1574/75, and Maria of Thomas "de Armscote" in 1579. (Differences in name spellings can be attributed to different readings of the hand written records by several copiests.)

The Thomas identified with Barbella and the first three daughters may have been this Thomas Walton because the timing is consistent with the marriages, but two of the daughters were baptized after the death of Barbella.

Thomas and Elizabeth apparently left Tredington Parish for Oxhill in the early 1580's. Thomas was apparently a tenant farmer, possibly on the Manor Farm, as he is not mentioned in any of the Bishop's holdings.

Vol. II of the Byberry Waltons contains copies of the wills of both Thomas and Elizabeth. From these wills, it is supposed that Thomas had three children by one or two wives before Eliabeth: Ann or Anna, Alice or Ales, Alice or Alicia, and Marg or Margeri; and that Thomas and Elizabeth had seven children: Mary or Maria (the elder), Emme or Eme, William, Thomas, Mary or Maria (who evidently died young), Elizabeth, and Mary or Maria or Marie (the younger).

Following are the supposed children of William and Katherine [sic: an earlier wife??] some of whom are mentioned in the will of William's mother, Elizabeth: Thomas, William, Elizabeth, William, Mary and Richard. William and Katherine may also have had a son, John.
