Biography
Eliizabeth Cudworth was born, say, 1710. Her parents are not known.[1]
She married Joshua Young on 22 August 1732 in Scituate.[2] Joshua Young was born on 27 September 1704 in Scituate, Plymouth, Province of Massachusetts Bay, the son of Thomas and Sarah (White) Young.[3]
Elizabeth was living on 10 November 1748 when she released her dower rights. [4] Their son Joshua named his second child "Elizabeth Cudworth Young."[5]
Joshua sold land to Thomas Merritt on 10 November 1748 with Elizabeth, wife of Joshua, giving up her dower right.[6]
Presumably Elizabeth was deceased by 11 December 1751 when Joshua married his second wife, Lydia Barnard in Boston.[7]
No probate records are found for Joshua or Elizabeth in Plymouth County,[1] but Joshua died in Scituate before 29 October 1757, the date that a bond was posted by Thomas Young of Scituate as guardian to Joshua Young, minor son of Joshua Young late of Scituate deceased.[8]
