July 29, 1788. 1.153 Sum of 200 pds. left by testatrix's husband, Valentine Hunsicker, bequeathed in 7 equal shares as follows: to son Jacob, 1 share. To son Isaac, 1 share. To son Henry, 1 share. To daughter Sarah Gotshalk, 1 share. To daughter Catharine Clemens, 1 share. To heirs of stepdaughter Elizabeth Roht, 1 share divided as follows: to her daughter Mary Funck, 1/3 part, 1/3 part equally between 2 granddaughters Elisabeth Tintshman and Magdalena Lederman; 1/3 part equally between her grandsons Henry Roht and Jacob Roht. To stepson Samuel Hunsicker, income of 7th share; at her death divided among other legatees. To 2 daughters Sarah and Catharine, wearing apparel equally. Execs: Sons Isaac and Henry Hunsicker. Wit: Henry Sweitzer, Israel Jacob.
Elizabeth and Valentine's sons, Henry and Isaac were members of the 6th class of Captain Dull's Company of Militia, 1st Battalion Philadelphia County, Colonel Daniel Heester commanding, in 1778 and May 24th, 1781 Henry and Isaac, were members of Captain John Harple's Company, Associators and Militia of the County of Philadelphia. These two brothers involvement in the Revolutionary War qualify Descendents to become members of SAR and DAR. (Sons and Daughters of the Revolution. Isaac served as a Private in the Continental Army as recorded in the 1906 Pennsylvania Archive, Sixth Series Volume. Isaac served as a Private in the Continental Army listed in the Second Supplement of Daughters of the American Revolutionary Ind., 1973. Henry's tombstone is marked with a Revolutionary War Plaque.
