Ella Jane Butler was born on Oct 15, 1865. She married James Bland. James was a Civil War confederate veteran. Their children are Kidron (1896), James, Jr. (1903) and Gibsey (1906) Bland. In 1925, her husband, James, passed away.

By 1947, her family had grown to include grandchildren, Robert Alderman, Mrs. J. A. Wynn, Laval and Randall Bland and Lawana Daves.

On Sat., July 26, 1947, Ella J. (Butler) Bland, age 81, died with burial in Brooklet Cemetery, Brooklet, Bulloch County, GA.
