Mrs. Ella Magdalene Dedrick, 68, died at 9:40 a.m. Friday at her home in Greenville.
She was born Sept. 3, 1884, in Augusta County, daughter of the late William W. and Louis Lough Chandler. She was the widow of William Franklin Dedrick, who preceded her in death in 1941. She was a member of the Greenville Methodist Church.
The survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Ray Boyles, Belington, W. Va.; Mrs. John Moneymaker, Greenville, Mrs. Edith My?, Staunton, Mrs. Eddie Thomas, Route 2, Staunton, and Miss Cornelia (Nelia) Dedrick, at home.
Also six sons, Homer W., Denver, Colo.; Charles E., Waynesboro, William F. Jr. and Gordon, both of Route 2, Staunton; Thomas and Harry, both of Greenville; one sister, Mr.s G. H. Sweet, Akron, Ohio; one brother, Charlie Chandler, Greenville; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The body was removed from the Etter Funeral Home this morning to the residence at Greenville where it will remain until the hour of service. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Greenville Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Richard Buckingham, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Harry L. Price and Dr. Pierce S. Ellis. Interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church cemetery, Steeles Tavern.
Active pallbearers will be Ralph Moomau, Gene Redard, H. R. Landes, Harry Nuckols, Willie Moses and H. F. Moneymaker.
Honorary bearers will be nephews of Mrs. Dedrick.
