Ellen Elizabeth Story

ELLEN STORY, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born Dec.8, 1910, in Tahlequah, Okla., a daughter of James Francis and Della (Littrell) Bennett. She died June 22, 2007, in Eureka Springs, at the age of 96.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Lee Hoskins of Eureka Springs and Nancy Mehan of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Virginia Wolfe of Eureka Springs; six grandchildren, Lee Ellen Kinser of Berryville, Teresa Christine Mazurek of St. Louis, Mo., Caroline Elizabeth Murray of Liberty, Mo., Thomas Andrew Warnell of Liberty, Mo., Aimee Marlene Garson of Leavenworth, Kan., and Marianne Irene Warnell of Liberty, Mo.; 11 great-grandchildren, Vincent Warnell, Hannah Elizabeth Cole, Rebekah Lee Cole, Zachary James Paul Cole, Brandon Alan Williams, Tegan Renee Mazurek, Tara Marianna R. Mazurek, Cora Grace Augusta Garso, Claire Elizabeth Murray, Joseph Patrick Garso, and Lucas Marshall Kilgore; several other relatives, and a host of friends.

On May 19, 1945, she was united in marriage with Henry George Story, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents and one sister, Verda Capps.

Graveside services were to be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at the Eureka Springs Cemetery with Pastor Paul A. Andresen officiating. Interment was to follow in the Eureka Springs Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Berryville.
