~• died a widow? "Ella Robeson" named in (brother) Samuel Lane's will. "Ella" lived on a property adjoining her brother Samuel's 204 3/4 acre farm on the Perkiomen. The land she lived on belonged to Christian Schrack and perhaps Samual sold Schrack that land. ~• all the above detailed in the will.
A rather cryptic set of entries in Rev. Henry Melchior Mühlenberg's journal of March & April 1778 seems to indicate that he preached at her funeral, held April 5th, 1778 ††. It must have been delayed due to the harsh winter and the war. Her burial had been c. March 15th and her funeral on April 5th. ~• see Journal project
Her nephew by marriage Andrew Robeson may have been a Patriot and died during the Revolution
†† an here is another reference concerning Eleanor in Muhlenberg's Journal:..." Widow Robinson (? Robeson), also from across the Perkiomen, was visited by the Trappe minister who wrote of her as "a poor sick English widow 75 years
old abed with hectic fever." see HSMC Fall 1968, attached to Jounal <project>

evidently w/o care of a minister (see Muhlenberg Journal). HE eventually conducted her funeral in April as the Saint James had no rector. |
