About Elvina Constance Anderson
In about 1946 Elvina and Vernon started being a foster home for Lutheran Welfare, they mostly took infants until they found adoptive parents for them. They ended up adopting two of them before they were done. Had over 100 babies from Lutheran Welfare. Then they switched to Children's Village and had many many more. Sometimes 2 at a time. I don't think Mother ever had a full nights sleep. I think they quit in about 1970. It was a long time anyway. I (Monte) would come home from school and give stroller rides if they were big enough.
