  • ***Of special interest: The book "Georgia Pioneers Vol 13" showed an Ivey cemetery in Warren County. His brother William is in Warren Co in 1880******, GA which had an Anderson Ivey born 1-30-1814 and died 4-29-1883. There were other Ivey's listed but no John or Thomas. Info found by Candace from the Genealogy.com library. (This Anderson is black per census records) Info received today 061200 from direct descendant Peggy Ivey Smith that names are Anderson Elbert Ivey and Ruth A Lindsey. They moved to Lincoln Co TN and died there. She states that she knows that Anderson Elbert Ivey was living in Lincoln Co. TN. His children were with Ruth Ann Lindsey; Elbert Lindsey Ivey, who was her great grandfather. But she knows he settled in Carmago in Lincoln Co. just south of Fayettville. (STRANGE BUT SHE SHOWS EMILY IN 1850 walton Co GA with children Martha 8, Elizabeth 5, and John 4. Anderson is not with them. Thomas Knott located burial info at Sandlin Cemetery in Lincoln Co TN. name has been transcribed as Andrew Ivey 1819-Jan 1895. His son Thomas H. is also buried there. confirmation received that tombstone shows Anderson Ivey burial in Sandlin Cem Taft #8 p485 is this them in 1880? Eliza's husband is 32 years older; and Rachael's husband is 30 years older. I have to re-think Anderson Elbert Ivey's wife's, Ruth Ann Lindsey's cemetery record. In the "Cemetery Records of Lincoln-Moore Counties Tennessee," are the following: Page 327 (Sandlin Cemetery): Anderson Ivey 1819-Jan 1895 Page 333 (Sandlin Cemetery): Mrs. Anderson Ivey * Died Dec 5, 1895 Age: 67y, 6m. NOTE: The asterisk indicates that the information was taken from a newspaper (the specific newspaper is not identified). I am now wondering if the Lucy A. listed as Anderson Elbert (A. S.) Ivey's wife in 1880 might be his third wife. However, I have been unable to locate a marriage record to confirm this. IF Lucy A. is another wife, then it is probably SHE who is the "Mrs. Anderson Ivey" buried in the Sandlin Cemetery. Maybe Ruth Ann Lindsey died back in Randolph Co., AL?
