"On the 25th November, 1868, by special license, by the Right Rev. Dr. Bailey, Bishop of the Free Church of England, Mr WALTER WINTLE, son of William Wintle, Esq., linen merchant, Belfast, Ireland, to EMILY EMELIA MARY, daughter of MICHAEL GILLESPIE, Esq., both of Bega. "

Death and Funeral Notices published in "The Sydney Morning Herald" of Wednesday 16 June 1937:

"WINTLE.-June 15, 1937, at her residence, 6 Brassie-street, North Bondi, Emily Amelia, relict of the late Robert Walter Wintle and dearly loved mother of Jane (Mrs. M. Piercy), Dolly (Mrs. E. J. Ward), Amanda (Mrs. C. J. Ferguson), Mary (Mrs. A. H. Harper), Florence May (deceased), Walter, Bob, Alf, Bill, Jack, and Andy, aged 88 years."

"WINTLE.-The Relatives and Friends of the Family of the late EMILY AMELIA WINTLE, of 6 Brassie-street, North Bondi, are respectfully advised that her Funeral will leave the Presbyterian Church, Cobargo, TO-MORROW, THURSDAY after service, commencing at 1 pm for the Presbyterian Cemetery, Cobargo.
