About Emily Elizabeth Skoglund
Emily grew up on the family farm and graduated from Elbow Lake High School. She attended Moorhead State Teachers College graduating in 1943 and moved to Kensington to begin teaching in the elementary school.
Emily was at home with her children until she returned to teaching. She completed her degree in education at UMN Morris in 1968. She taught in Lowry, Sedan, and Kensington. She enjoyed her flower gardens and large lawn. Emily was famous in the community for her cinnamon rolls which she baked for many family, church and community events.
