Emily Welch

Emily (Sedgwick) Welch is the daughter of Benjamin and Olive (Collins) Sedgwick, born November 6, 1819 in Cornwall, Litchfield, Connecticut, died May 5, 1902 in Norfolk, Litchfield, Connecticut. She was the wife of William Wickham Welch, whom she married in 1866. bio contributed by Mike

Emily was the sister of MAJ GEN John Sedgwick, who fought in the Indian Wars out west, the Mexican War of 1848 and died in battle at Spotsylvania VA on 9 MAY 1864, during the Civil War.
