At the wedding breakfast it-he golden bride and groom were ushered in to the strains' of Mendelssohn's "Wed- Ujj;<>- March,"' and took, their seats amidst the plffiidits of those present. They both looked hale and hearty, and good for very many more years of wedded-life. The -bride (Miss Emma Healey) was born in Cambridge (England) in 1844. and arrived in New' Zealand by the sailer Lady Raglan in 1863, after a tempestuous voyage of four months and three days. After six weeks m Buredin she came north to Picton to ftbop with relatives. Mr Bartlett was Lorn in London in 1839. He arrived in New Zealand on September dUtli, f 80l by the Sir George Pollock,, landing in Nelson, after a trip expending over four months. He remained in i^ei-^on for four months, and then walked over the track via the Maungatapu to the Wairau. and resided in the Beaver for a few mouths. K 3 then went on to Picton. where he liv-sd for four years. While there he married Miss Healey ajb the Church ot En "land (an edifice still standing). fci.<-r officiating clergyman being the j Roy T. L. Tudor. This was on ! November 30th, 1864. The married 00-u»le came to reside in Blenheim | Uyo years later, and they have lived I 'here ever since Mr Bartlett for many years carried on the business of painter and decorator, retiring six years ago. Tliere was'a family of eleven—three being deceased. The survivors are: Messrs G. Bantlett, L. C. Bartlett, E. Bartlett, and Arthur Bartlett, all of Blenheim; and Mrs W. Kirby (Blenheim), Mrs W. Meers (Christchurch), Mrs E. Woodford (Christdiureh), and Miss Bartlett (Blenheim). There are thirteen grandchildren.
