Emma Marie Spath Hockenbary was born November 6, 1884, at Holbrook, Nebraska and grew to young womanhood at this place. On October 4th, 1905, she was united in marriage to Elmer Hockenbary at Lincoln, Nebraska.

To this union were born ten children, all of whom are living. She parted this life at her home near Interior on February 9, 1935, at the age of 50 years, three months and 3 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Elmer Hockenbary and ten children, Ralph Hockenbary, Mrs. William Porch, Mrs. Albert Kursave, Mrs. Charley Mullen, Mrs. Cyrus Porch, Elmer Herbert, Jr., Kathleen, Helen, Florence and Margaret; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Louise Danfield, Mrs. Ida McFarland, Mrs. Josephine Kreps, Mrs. George Johnson; one brother Mr. William Spath and host of friends.
