Emma Mollenkopf Bateman, 104, formerly of Cheyenne, passed away May 16 in Medford, Ore.
She was born Oct. 12, 1913, in Grey County, Kan., to Perry V. Staats and Lula Clements.
She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, the Cheyenne Artists Guild, Eastern Star and Master Gardeners.
Emma is survived by her children, Margaret Mooneyham of Medford, James (Lou Ann) Mollenkopf of Cheyenne and Joann McCrath of Glasboro, N.J.; five grandchildren, Michael and Bryan Mollenkopf, Bruce Mooenyham, James McCrath and Becky Diadone; great-grandchildren, Ingrid, Dagmar, Gretchen, Allison and Kaya Mollenkopf, Cynthia Nealges, and Chelsea and Katara Diodone; great-great-grandchildren, Hudson and Leslie Emma; sister, Elsie Trahern of Cimarron, Kan.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Leslie P. Mollenkopf and James O. Bateman; four brothers; six sisters; and one grandchild.
