On one census he was born in 1808 and on another it was 1813. He was listed on the 1860 Agriculture Census living in Cass County (Cartersville PO). He was shown to have 160 acres of land (60 under cultivation). He had 2 horses, 1 mule, 2 milch cows, 4 other cattle and 8 pigs. In 1870, he owned 160 acres in Cherokee County (50 under cultivation). 1 horse, 1 mule, 2 milch cows, 3 other cattle, 5 sheep and 15 pigs. In 1880,m 130 acres (30 under cultivation), 1 horse, 1 mule, 3 milch cows, 2 calves, 3 other cattle and 4 pigs.
