Served in Kings Philip's War as a Ensign and Lieutinent.(See Bodge, p.444) married Anna 3-1-1681 FATHER: William Billings, b Taunton, Somersetshire, Eng, abt 1629, left England some time prior to 1649 as evidenced in an older brother' will. His arrival in America are not recorded. However it is certain that he lived in Dorcheser in 1658 and moved to Stonington on or before 1667. d 3/16/1712 MOTHER: Mary Wales Atherton daughter of Maj. Gen Humphrey Atherton Daughter, Margaret M. Billings b. 4/11/1693, m. Jeremiah Burch II 2/5/1717 Other children: Anna,Ebenezer, William, James, Zipporiah, Mary, Jemima.
