Ephraim Northrup

Ephraim's Grandparents Joseph Northrup ( 1623-1669 ) & Mary Norton Northrup ( 1627-1688 ) are honored on Milford's Founders Bridge as is his maternal Grandfather Joseph Peck ( 1610-1701 )

     He was the son of William & Mary (Peck) Northrup, he married Sarah Gunn, daughter of Samuel & Mercy, on November 26, 1730. 

Children: Abigail Northrup (1731 - 1790) Ephraim Northrup (1733 - 1759) Lazarus Northrup (1735 - 1802) Martha Northrup Lambert (1737 - 1815) Mary Northrup Smith (1739 - 1821) Esther Northrop Atwater (1744 - 1817)

Inscription: Inscriptions on tombstones in Milford, Conn., erected prior to 1800, p. 45: In memory of Mr. Ephraim Northrop who departed this Life October 10th A.D. 1787 aged 91 years. Sweet is the memory of the just While dying nature sleeps in dust.
