Ephraim Roberts was born in Haverhiill, the son of Robert Roberts and Susanna Unknown.

Ephraim Roberts and Dorothie Hendrick married Aug. 28, 1684, in Haverhill, Essex, Massachusetts.[1] They had at least eight children, including some who died young. She died 9 January 1701-2.[2]

He married second Hannah Brown, the widow of John Howe of Haverhill. Both were of Haverhill. In the marriage record, "he declared that he did renounce meddeling with her estate." Jan. 10, 1702, in Salisbury, Essex, Massachusetts[3][4]

He died testate, Haverhill, Massachusetts, before 10 July 1738 (the date of probate).

Some have posited that he was the son of Robert Roberts and his wife Susanna (Unknown) of Ipswich. Robert died in 1663 intestate and the court names eldest son John and states that he had seven other children but does not name them. His wife Susanna was *not* Susanna Downing. That has been disproved. So far there is no evidence that Ephraim was a son of Robert Roberts or any other early New England Roberts. He may have come as an immigrant.
