Erasmus Withers Allen was born on August 28, 1712 in Virginia. His parents were William Samuel Allen (~1677 - 1741) and Margaret (Waggoner) Allen (~1677 - 1743).
Erasmus married Sarah Streshley (1716 - 1805) on January 6, 1738 in St. Anns Parrish, Essex County.[1] From Ancestry.com: Virginia Colonial Militia, 1651- 1776, Order book: Erasmus Withers Allen, Lieutenant of company under Capt. Philemon Hawkins, commission dated 07/21/1755.
Erasmus died before 26 Oct 1787 as the probate date was on 26 Oct 1787 in Rowan, North Carolina, United States aged 75.[2]
