The family of the von Pallandt (also von Pallant, von Palant, von Palland, von Paland,von Palandt and von Ballandt) is a Rhenish noble family whose name comes from its former property Haus Palant in Weisweiler (today the city of Eschweiler). The family was one of the most influential dynasties in the Duchy of Jülich due to its numerous possessions and the wealth associated with them, as well as its extensive family connections. The genealogy shows, for example, Jülich'sche, Kölnische and Klevische Marschälle.
