Ernest Edward Jones

Ernest Edward Jones, age 59, (Erie address removed), has passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Holy Saint Hospital in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, USA

He was born in Erie on April 15, 1952, son of the late John Gore Jones and Maudie Lee Brewster-Jones.

He was a lifelong resident of Erie and graduated from Academy High School. He had been employed at Bush Industries as an Assembler.

He occasionally attended Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. Ernest did a lot of "handyman" work at the church and was a very sociable person. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Cil Jones, an infant son; three brothers, John Earl, Milton and Marvin Jones; and two sisters, Rose Lee Jones-Crosby and Carrie Lee Jones-Thigpen.

He leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Bishop Asa and his wife (Floretta) Jones of Erie; four sisters, Melvie Lee Bean and her husband (Mack Sr.), Virginia Robinson and her husband (Robert), Elnora Jones, all of Erie, and Ruth Ann Stovall and her husband (Elder Albert Stovall) of Durham, North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, 4 to 8 p.m., at Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 1962 Buffalo Road, Erie, and may attend a service at the church on Saturday, 1 p.m., with Roderick M. Jones officiating and Elder John R. Jones eulogizing.
