Ernest John Winter
Ernest John Winter, Rice Creek, passed away at his farm residence this morning at 7:40 o'clock. He has been in failing health for several years and seriously ill since Wednesday. He was born July 19, 1887, in Parama township, Michigan; the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Winter. He was married to Lily David, March 13, 1915. Besides his wife, Lily, he is survived by one daughter, Frances Winter at home; five sons, Wayne and Lee at home; Cpl. Carl Winter, stationed in Maryland; Pvt. Harry Winter, stationed in California; and Pvt. D. J. Winter, with the Army overseas; twp brothers, William Winter of Rice Creek; and Theodore Winter of Jackson.
Friends may call at the Court funeral home. Funeral arrangements are awaiting the arrival of the son in california.

Funeral Services
Ernest John Winter
The funeral services for Ernest John Winter, who passed away at his home, at Rice Creek, Saturday, will be held from the Court funeral home Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. Harry W. Staver of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will follow in the Rice Creek Cemetery.
