About Ernst LUDWIG von Pfuel

Ludwig was the son of Ludwig HEMPO Pfuel (* 1690, † 1770), Royal Prussian Privy Councillor and Major, president of the war and domain chamber Halberstadt, Mr. on Jahnsfelde and Hedwig Sophie von Jagow (1697 to 1764).. He attended from 1734 the Knights Academy in Brandenburg (Havel) before 1737 with the participation of the University of Frankfurt (Oder) enrolled . Already in 1741 he was an ensign in the newly formed Dragoon Regiment von Platen (no. 9), carried out in 1743 his promotion to Sekundo lieutenant . As such, he participated among others at the Battle of Kesselsdorf participate in the December 15, 1745.
