" Lippes main task as a party adjutant was to act as a liaison man between the Reich Office for Landvolk in Munich and Darré in Berlin and in particular to process his post in this context.SS (SS No. 314.184), in which he received the honorary rank of SS-Sturmbannfuhrer and was listed in the Breed and Settlement Main Office without actually being active in it. However, he organized during the Second World War on behalf of the Settlement Office, the settlement of war-disabled SS members as farmers in the 1939 annexed by the German Empire of Poland - and as Warthegau the German Reich incorporated - areas Vistula and Posenand represented the interests of the settlement office in this matter to the Reich Commissioner for the consolidation of German nationality. After the dismissal of Darrés in 1942, Lippe returned to the German Labor Front, for which he remained active until 1945, first in the Personnel Office, then in the Department of Trade as a Human Resources Officer (Referent für Personalangelegenheiten).

At the end of the war, Lippe became an Allied prisoner of war. He participated as a witness in the Nuremberg trials and was later classified in the course of denazification by the district court in the administrative district Detmold in the class III (less loaded).

After the death of his father in 1949, Lippe's younger half-brother Armin Prinz zur Lippe (1924-2015) from his father's second marriage with Anna Princess von Ysenburg-Büdingen, widowed princess of Lippe-Weissenfeld (1886-1980), took the position of new head of the house Lippe . Lippe had been passed over in his will by his father."
