About Erving L. Eastman

From Find a Grave:

Erving was the last and only surviving child of James Monroe Eastman. It is obvious that he left Weare, New Hampshire and headed to Boston with his parents in 1871. His father died soon after arriving in Boston and Erving must have stayed, marrying Anna Newell Drake in 1876 there.

The couple was next seen in Mt Morris, Genesee, Michigan witnessing Erving's mother's marriage to Henry Buxton. The couple had a son and was still in Michigan in 1880, but removing to Hyde Park, Massachusetts the following year.

Erving had three children, with two surviving. He was a pianist. He built them, repaired them, sold them, and played for audiences.

By 1898 Erving was back in New Hampshire and remarrying; Anna was living in Wakefield, Massachusetts. In all of the census where he was found, he was listed as living there, but not physically there. He was most likely traveling for his job.

By 1930 he was back in Weare, living alone, and died alone at the age of 87.

Note: There is not a headstone for Erving L Eastman. I spoke with the caretakers and they say the information is incomplete, they don't know exactly where he is, but he is there. I feel pretty secure in saying... he is in the family plot.

If Luella Marshall, or the possible third marriage produced any children, please let me know. The records were good to a certain point, but they are incomplete toward the end.
