About Estelle Jordan (Cavendar)
Estelle Jordan
Mrs. Estelle Cavender Jordan, age 89 of Ball Ground, Ga., passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at the residence of her daughter following a period of declining health.
Born Sept. 3, 1918 in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late William Jeffrey and Ora Jane Jordan Cavender. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Jordan, and her sons, Junior and Melvin Jordan. Mrs. Jordan was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jean and H.L. Howell, Ball Ground; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Eva Mae Noles, Lexington, S.C., and Mrs. Walterine Roper, Ball Ground; and brother, Harry Cavender, Ball Ground. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6 from Fairview Baptist Church with the Revs. Horace Biddy and Russell Nations officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Timmy, Tommy and Brandon Howell and Nicholas, Craig and Shannon Jordan. Roper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
