Obituary for Ethlwyn Tiny Russell Ethlwyn "Tiny" Russell, age 78, of Marshall passed away on Sunday October 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 23, 1938 the daughter of Gail and Katherine (Eberling) Chapman in Charlotte. Tiny was in the graduating class of "55" from Marshall High School. On September 30, 1967 she married Douglas Russell in Marshall. Together they shared 49 wonderful years. She was employed with State Farm, foster parent to many children, owned and operated a day care for many years, enjoyed going to church, camping, cross stitching, sewing, and reading the Bible. Taking care of children and spending time with her family was her whole world.Surviving Tiny is her loving husband, Douglas Russell of Marshall, son, Ted (Kristi) Russell of Marshall, daughters, Tara (Bruce) Herman of Tekonsha, Shanda Brunner of Marshall, grandchildren, Jennifer (Jacob Croley) DeGraw, Alan (Lacy Janousek) DeGraw, William DeGraw, Jordan Smith, Blake Herman, Morgan Herman, Matilyn Russell, Abigail Smith, Lance M. Russell, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lance D. Russell, 3 brothers and 1 sister.Relatives and friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at the Kempf Family Funeral Homes Marshall Chapel 723 Old U.S. 27 N Marshall, MI. A funeral service celebrating the life of Tiny will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday October 27, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church of Marshall 500 Cosmopolitan Ave. Marshall, MI 49068 with Pastor Brandon Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Marengo Township Cemetery in Marshall. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church or Oaklawn Hospice .
