About Eugene Bloch
He left Switzerland as a young man as he found it too difficult to find a place amongst 20 siblings of his (his mother had 8 children incl. him and his father's first wife had 12!) and emigrated 1907 to Australia. He eventually stated his own business and in 1922 was appointed Honorary Consul General for Switzerland in Sydney. However, in 1933 he was suddenly dismissed by the Swiss Government- A comprehensive biography has been written on him by Georges M.
